Wayne Boeve, age 76 of Hamilton, was unexpectedly taken to his heavenly home on Wednesday, April 5, 2017.
Wayne was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He was a man of deep faith and served as an elder at Overisel Reformed Church. Although he was an engineer by trade, he was a farmer at heart. Wayne loved to laugh with his family, and together, they created many memories while traveling, camping, fishing and hiking. He also enjoyed time biking, golfing, and woodworking.
Wayne is survived by his wife of nearly 54 years, Dawn Boeve; children: Tim (Jodi) Boeve of Holland, Todd (Jennifer) Boeve of Dorr, Troy (Keeley) Boeve of Hamilton; 6 grandchildren, Nick (Alisha) Boeve, Lindsey (Joey) Droppers, Chloe Boeve, Reese Boeve, Griffin Thompson, Kaden Boeve; great-grandson, Teagan; siblings: Jerry Boeve, Edward Boeve, Douglas (Mary) Boeve, Steven (Shelly) Boeve; in-laws: Mary Haverdink, Mary Groenheide, Shirley Groenheide; as well as many nieces and nephews.
Wayne was preceded in death by his parents Donald and Alma Boeve, sister Barbara Boeve and brother James Boeve.
Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. on Friday, April 7, 2017 at Overisel Reformed Church, 4706 142nd Ave, Holland, MI 49423. A funeral service will be held at the church at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 8, 2017. Pastor Ken Kleinheksel will officiate. Interment will be at Overisel Cemetery.
