Pat Huisingh, 52, of Borculo, died February 19, from injuries sustained in an automobile collision. Pat impacted people's lives across many boundaries. She was open to speak about the trials of disability, but was especially open to speak of her faith.
Pat was born May 10, 1964, in Zeeland to Del and Glenda (Lamer) Huisingh. Pat was a lifelong member of Borculo CRC. She graduated from Borculo Christian, Holland Christian High School in 1982, and Davenport College in 1984. Pat was diagnosed with Muscular Dystrophy and made herself a personal challenging goal of walking across the stage to receive her Holland Christian diploma. She did so, to a standing ovation.
Pat worked at Del Huisingh State Farm and later at The Flame Center. She volunteered as the director of disability week for Grace Adventures Camp for 13 years, and was a member of the CRC Handicap Ministry Committee.
Pat is survived by her parents, Del and Glenda Huisingh, her brothers and their families: Paul and Kris Huisingh of Overisel [Stacey and Joe Deters(Gavin)], [Stefanie and Andy VanderKooi (Kaitlyn, Alyssa, Aiden)], Rod and Kris Huisingh [Blake, Austin].
