Milo J. "Mike" Boerman age 85 of Hamilton, died Monday, January 25, 2016 at his home in Florida, after a 9 year struggle with Lymphoma.
He was born in Bentheim to Thys and Sena Boerman in 1930.
Milo was a member of Central Wesleyan Church and was actively involved in missions. He loved to travel and wintered in Texas and Florida. Milo was a lifetime farmer and retired from General Electric in 1991 following over 27 years of employment. He was a veteran of the Army, serving from 1955-1957. Stationed in Germany during the Korean War.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Juella; children, Mark and Melanie Boerman of Dorr, Marcy and Clint Erickson of Boca Raton, FL; granddaughters, Isabella Boerman and Sena Erickson; brother, Jerald and Harriet Boerman of Bentheim; in-laws, Margaret Scholten of Hamilton, Junior and Frances Schreur of Oakland, Gordon and Bea Schreur of Oakland, Jay and Carolyn Schreur of Hamilton; many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, February 1, 2016 in the chapel of Central Wesleyan Church, 446 W. 40th St. Holland with Rev. Lynn Bruce officiating. Burial will be in Bentheim Cemetery. Visitation will be 2-5 p.m. Sunday, January 31, 2016 at Yntema Funeral Home, 251 S. State St. Zeeland.
