Peggy was born in Grand Rapids to Marguerite and Edward Den Herder. Peggy graduated from Zeeland High School and Michigan State College (University) with a degree in Home Economics. She married Robert (Bob) J. Danhof in 1947 in Holland, Michigan. Peggy will be remembered by all for raising an extraordinary family and making a house a home. Peggy was an avid seamstress and quilter throughout her life. She designed and made her wedding dress, bridesmaid dresses, children's outfits, doll clothes and stuffed animals. Later she took up quilting making baby quilts, wedding gifts and table runners and gifting them to friends, family and charity. Peggy and Bob retired to their Lake Macatawa home where she spent her childhood summers, countless extended family gatherings and enjoyed many glorious sunsets from the porch. She loved watching freighters passing by, birds diving and sailboats gracefully floating by. Peggy spent a myriad of hours volunteering for the Red Cross Telecare, Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, Eastminster Presbyterian Church (East Lansing) and Hope Church (Holland).

She was preceded in death by her husband Bob of 65 years, as well as sisters Joyce, Maxine and brother Robert (Bob).
