Obituary

Jeffery Moore, age 48, passed away on Tuesday, November 9, 2021.

Jeffery Nathan Moore was born January 19, 1973, to Mary Moore and Leon Donelson. He was born in New Haven, CT and spent the first couple of months of his life there before moving to Morgan Park in Chicago. During his early years Jeff would establish lifelong friendships and bonds that would last into 40 plus years (Sherod, Mike, Cornelius). He also developed a love for fishing that would be his place of peace for him in years to follow.

During Jeff's teen years he was known to get into his scraps and into his share of TROUBLE. But even through this stage of his life Jeff was undeniably the one that stood out. He had the ability to keep everyone around him laughing. He was a natural leader. A natural born "Make it Happen" kind of man.

Jeff became a young father at 18 with his first child, Paris (Michelle). She was considered and will always be known as his mother's twin. Three years later Jeff would become a father again through his first marriage. Brandon (Cynthia) was his pride and joy. They became the ones to help shape Jeff into a better father. A better man. Years later Jeff finally settled in Holland, MI where he would meet the love of his life.

Jeff and Sophia's love would span over 15 years. A friendship that blossomed into so much more. They were married June 7, 2008. They would go on and share 5 beautiful ladies (Angel, Alexis, Aaliyah, Ariel, Ayanna) over time. They also shared the hurt of the loss of their son, Levi. He learned what it was to truly be a protector of the hearts of his 8 children.

Jeff was known for his stubborn ways but also his big heart. He was a hardworking man and he worked for Sherwin Williams for 3 years. Jeff loved food. He would show love in the way he cooked for others. It felt like love always. Holidays were his specialty. Cooking up entire meals was just amazing to watch. He was a huge fan of basketball. LeBron James being one of current favorites at the time.

Jeff was a family man and was such a loveable person to be around. His extended family was never considered extended. They were his family. Jeff would later start a motorcycle enthusiasts club called the LEGIT RIDERZ on November 14, 2020. Jeff was the President, riding name was Priest amongst his club. They would ride as family and become affective in their community. Jeff loved his brothers and sisters in the club. He LOVED riding.

He was proceded in death by his mother, Mary; father, Leon; and youngest son, Levi.

Jeff was truly loved and will be missed by so many. He leaves behind wife, Sophia; his 7 remaining children Paris, Brandon, Angel, Alexis, Aaliyah, Ariel, and Ayanna; five grandchildren, Brielle, Layliona, Iyera, Korde, and Sky; siblings, Sherida, Leon (Lissa), Dionne, Keshona (Brian), Donna, Dana, Blake (Rilda), and Eldridge; a host of nieces and nephews, Alana, Alexandria, Amir, Athena, Brian Jr., Deshawn, Destiny, Ella Marie, Exavier, Gina, Ginea, Jace, Jayce, Jeremiah, Josiah, Jurie, Justice, Laila, LaNae, Mark, My'L, Nathan, Preston, and Eliana; beloved aunt, Donna Gambrell; his cousin close to his heart, Greg Johnson; his in-laws, Ismael and Mary Vargas, who were a very special part of his heart whom he loved very much; and his brothers-in-law, Butch(Marcie), Joe, and J.M.(Alexandra) Vargas, all whom he loved.

Thank you for your love.
