Irvin Scholten, age 79 of Hamilton went home to be with his Lord and Savior Friday, February 5, 2016.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years Marilyn; children: Nancy and Bob Koning of Holland, Kathy and Todd Nykerk of Zeeland, Paul Scholten and Rick Scholten both of Hamilton; grandchildren and great grandchildren: Riley Koning, Jamie and Lee Slenk (Autumn, Beau and Clint), Mitch Koning, Travis Nykerk, Lindsay Nykerk and Coby Nykerk; in-laws: Kathleen and Stanley Schipper of Holland, Delvin and Tena Lankheet of Holland, Perry Wilcox of Grand Rapids, Thelma Clark of Eager, AZ, Elaine and Bill Cameron of Diboll, TX and Earl and Gayle Lankheet of Grand Blanc.
Irv was preceded in death by his parents James and Tillie Scholten, sister-in-law Muriel Wilcox, brother-in-law Jarvis Clark, mother-in-law and father-in-law Gillis and Dorothy Lankheet.
Irv was a member of Diamond Springs Wesleyan Church and he retired from Pet Life Foods where he worked for 43 years.
Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. Monday, February 8, 2016 at Diamond Springs Wesleyan Church, 3562 136th Ave., Hamilton, MI 49419. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at the church. Pastor Mark Inman will officiate. Interment will be in Bentheim Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be given to Hospice of Holland or Middle Man Ministries. www.yntemafh.com
