Gord proudly served his country in the Navy as an Aviation Ordnanceman during WWII from 1944-1946. He started building at a young age and continued his love of building until his retirement. Gord was a lifelong member of First Baptist Church in Zeeland.

He was an avid outdoorsman; he loved hunting and fishing, taking frequent trips to the Upper Peninsula and Canada, and many trips to Lake Erie. He also loved to raise and band woodducks and geese. He was most happy sitting outdoors and watching the wildlife around his home. Another love of Gord's was spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, as well as the neighborhood kids. He had a smile for everyone. He will be missed by many.

The DeJonge family would like to thank his special care-givers and Hospice of Holland for the care he received in his last weeks with us.
