Glen Boerman, 72, of Bentheim, passed away on Monday, September 4, 2017, surrounded by his family.

Glen was born February 2, 1945, to Justin and Gertrude (Elshuis) Boerman. Glen lived in Bentheim his entire life. He drove truck for Holland Motor Express/USF-Holland for 29 years. He was a member of Oakland Christian Reformed Church and a former member of Bentheim Reformed Church. He had served as an elder, deacon, Sunday school teacher and a Kids Hope mentor. After retiring, he became a Chaplain for Transport for Christ at the Tulip City Truck Stop for 5 years. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Herschel and father-in-law Marvin Brower.

He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Marcia, their children: Julie and Mark Woldring, Craig Boerman, Missy and Marty Weerstra, all of Hamilton; grandchildren: Kailee, Mackenzie, and Zach Boerman; Keanan and Braylon Weerstra; mother-in-law Florence Brower, brothers: Junior and Marcia Boerman, Larry and Judy Boerman; in-laws: Elaine and Tom Lucas, Bruce and Luann Brower, Bonnie and Bill De Kleine, Nancy and Don Gritter, Gloria Boerman, many extended family and friends.

The Boerman's express special thanks to the staff of the Gilead Unit and Providence Healthcare Center for the wonderful care provided.

A service to honor the faith and life of Glen Boerman will be held at 11:00 am, Friday, September 8, 2017, at Oakland Christian Reformed Church, 4452 38th Street, Hamilton 49419. Visitation will be 2-4 and 6:30-8:30 pm, Thursday, at the Yntema Funeral Home, 251 S. State Street, Zeeland. Interment will be in Bentheim Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Holland or Right to Life of Holland.
