Obituary for Allie Blauwkamp

August 13, 1955 - May 19, 2021
Holland, Michigan | Age 65

Cherished wife of 44 years, beloved mother to her children, grandmother to one amazing grandson, sister to six older siblings and friend to many.

Allie Dena Blauwkamp left this earth on May 19, 2021 to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Loved by all who had the opportunity to meet her, Allie will never be forgotten. Her contagious laugh, better known as her machine gun giggle, is one of many memories her loved ones and friends will continue to carry with them. Grateful for the life she lived on earth, her family looks forward to the day they will see her again, face to face, for all eternity.

Allie was best known for her dedicated servanthood and her commitment to helping others. She had a beautiful outlook on life and wanted those she came into contact with each day to be blessed. Over the years she served on several organizations in the Zeeland and Holland community. She worked with World Home Bible League, did in home childcare, waitressed and did data entry work. Her most recent work included being the supervisor for the Mail Processing Department at Family Research Council. She found joy in all her work and her coworkers became a second family throughout the years. In 2021 she retired after 26 years with Family Research Council. Allie battled with ALS for at least the past five months.

Her family will continue to celebrate her determination and love for life. Knowing that Allie is and always will be a child of God, they know she is singing and praising God along with her family in friends who passed before her. And they are filled with the hope that one day they will rejoin her in celebrating her best life.

Allie is survived by her husband, Robert Blauwkamp; children: Christopher and Jessica Blauwkamp, Julie Blauwkamp, Kimberlie Blauwkamp; grandson, Bowman Blauwkamp; siblings: Hubert (Glenda) Langemaat, Grace Eding, Minnie (Don) DeWitt, Greta (Larry) VandenBerg, Henrietta Cassidy; in-laws: Jayne Girolami Hines, Rick (Jane) Blauwkamp, Sherry (Ray) Kloostra, Sue (Steve) Lesky; as well as many nieces, nephews and great-nieces and nephews.
