Alice Johanna (Kraal) Jansen, age 100, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, May 15, 2021.

Alice was married to Ben Jansen Sr. for over 65 years. Their relationship centered on following their Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ. Divine love came into their lives and they lived it well to their children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.

Ben and Alice met in Central Ave. CRC choir and they both sang for the Lord throughout their lives. Ben in Central Ave male quartet often in mission outreach and Alice in church choir from Central Ave to Prospect Park to Niekerk CRC churches. They were always leaders in their church serving on committees for the welfare of the church and the Holland Christian Schools.

On her 100th birthday last September, Alice received over 100 birthday cards from her family, and many short and long-time friends. She sang with her family and friends "Great is Thy Faithfulness".

She is preceded in death by her husband, Benjamin Jansen, in 2006.

She is survived by her son, Captain Randall J and Diane Jansen of Two Rivers, WI; son, Pastor Benjamin Jr., and Carol Jansen of Muskegon, MI; daughter, Alene Joy and Jerry Bouwkamp of West Olive, MI; grandchildren, Theresa and Mark Droegkamp, Craig and Julie Jansen, Mike and Wendy Jansen, Dawn and Jim Fett, Jodi and Jason Bricker, Becca and Chris Boone, Tamara and Brian Brunsell; great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren; and her special nieces and nephew.

Visitation will be 5:00 – 8:00 pm Friday, May 21, 2021 at Langeland Sterenberg Funeral Home, 315 E. 16th St. Holland, MI 49423.

Funeral services are at 11:00 am on Saturday, May 22, 2021 at Niekerk Christian Reformed Church, 545 Country Club Rd. Holland, MI 49423.

Burial to take place in Graafschap Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made in Alice's honor to Holland Christian Schools or Hospice of North Ottawa, and Christ Community Congregational Church of Muskegon.
