Alberta Molner, age 89, of Holland, was welcomed into the arms of Jesus on Saturday, October 21, 2017.

Alberta's marriage with her beloved husband Albert was a beautiful love story that began when they met on the dance floor post-WWII. She was a cherished wife and mother of eleven children with two sets of twins born twenty-two months apart. Alberta was known for her strong faith, beauty and grace, fortitude and quiet spirit. She had a passion for Bible study, reading, writing whimsical tales and poetry and was known for her Swedish weaving. She also became an accomplished baker of Hungarian pastries, passing on the art to her children.

Alberta is survived by her children Louise (Richard) Kempf, Mary (Ben) Scholten, Jim (Paula) Molner, Lisa Molner, Dan (Judy) Molner, Celia (Steve) Hulst, Celeste (Mike) Kommer, Margo (Howie) Bott, Joe (Kathy) Molner, and Bert Molner; 26 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren; also surviving are sisters, Patricia Fusik and Nelda Lietzau. Alberta was preceded in death by her husband, Albert, and son, David Molner.

Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. on Friday, November 10, at Langeland-Sterenberg Funeral Home, 315 E. 16th Street, Holland, MI 49423. A Funeral service honoring the life and faith of Alberta will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 11, 2017, at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church, 195 West 13th Street, Holland, MI 49423. Father Kyle Kilpatrick will be officiating. Burial will be in Graafschap Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be given to Hospice of Holland.
