Donna Mae Dykstra, 87, of Walker, entered the throng of saints victorious on Saturday, October 16, 2021.

Donna was born May 13, 1934, in Byron Center, to Dick and Sadie (Windemuller) Kooienga. Donna married Arnold Dykstra and they had six sons. Donna and Arnie are members of Trinity Protestant Reformed Church.

Donna is survived by her husband of 63 years, Arnold Dykstra, sons: Professor Russell and Carol Dykstra of Byron Center, Brian and Lois Dykstra of Hudsonville, Mark and Kim Dykstra of Hudsonville, Brad and Julie Dykstra of Grandville, Gary and Amy Dykstra of Jamestown; 26 grandchildren, 86 great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild, siblings: Donald and Mary Kooienga, Lois and Earl Dykstra, Judy and Don Sall, Bette and Tom Bolt, and many extended family members. Donna was preceded in death by her infant son Carl Lee Dykstra, and a great-grandson Logan Dean Hoksbergen.

A service to glorify God for the faith and life of Donna Dykstra will be held at 1:00 pm, Thursday, October 21, 2021, at Trinity Protestant Reformed Church, 3385 Van Buren St., Hudsonville MI 49426. Officiating will be Professor Brian Huizinga, with Rev. Bill Langerak officiating the committal. Visitation will be 4-7 pm, Wednesday, also at Trinity PRC. Interment will be in Riverbend Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Covenant Christian High School.

I am a nurse tech that had the privilege to take care of Donna while she was at Butterworth. And I could see how much she was loved and cared for, and how strong she was. And I wanted to send my condolences to all of those who loved her.
