Tribute & Message From The Family

Willard "Bill" Van Den Berge Jr., age 64 of Holland, passed away on Wednesday, October 10, 2018, surrounded by those he loved and who loved him.

Bill worked for nearly 40 years at Kalkman Redi Mix, and had a special connection to many at Huizenga Redi Mix. Bill loved to farm and raised Angus Beef, "his girls", from the time he was a teenager. He never missed church on Sunday and always arrived early so he had time to think.

Bill was a loving husband, father and grandfather and will be deeply missed. Bill is survived by his wife Shelley Van Den Berge; sons: Willard (Heidi) Van Den Berge III, Brandon Van Den Berge and Barry Van Den Berge; step-children: Ryan Brevard and Mallory (Connor) Millar; grandchildren: Madison, Jayci, Taya, Magnolia and Breckon; mother, Margaret Abma; sister, Brenda (Melvin) Rus. Also surviving are nieces, nephews and many friends, including Ethan Grassmid who was like a son to Bill.

Bill was preceded in death by his father, Willard Van Den Berge Sr., step-father, Ed Abma and sister, Sandy VanderZwaag.

A funeral service to honor Bill's life and faith will take place at 6:00pm on Monday, October 15, 2018 at Community Reformed Church, 10376 Felch St, Zeeland, MI 49464. There will be a time of visiting at the church from 3:30-5:30pm preceding the services on Monday.

The family is being served by Langeland-Sterenberg Funeral Home.
