Tribute & Message From The Family


Glenn Boerman, age 82, passed away on Monday, October 1, 2018.

Glenn was a faithful follower of God his entire life. He was a loving husband and father. He genuinely cared for and served family and friends as needed. He was an avid golfer, gardener, enjoyed watching many sports, and playing card games. He enjoyed a good meal followed by sweet treats. He had a quick-wit and sense of humor, was patient and content. He worked behind the scenes with a joyful spirit. He served in the Army from 1955-1957 after the Korean War. He was a meat cutter for 26 years at Montello Meats and retired from Bell & Howell. In retirement he worked at Teerman's and volunteered at Ditto.

He was preceded in death by his parents; Henry & Henrietta Boerman; brother, Gene Boerman; parents-in-law, Bill & Hermina Compagner; and brother-in-law, Milford Compagner.

Glenn is survived by his wife of 57 years, Marcia; daughters, Jayne Boerman, Joy (Dave) Lotterman; granddaughters, Anne Lotterman, Elliana Boerman; sister-in-laws, Clarissa Compagner, and Janet Boerman.

Visitation is 5:00-8:00 pm on Wednesday, October 3, 2018 at Langeland Sterenberg Funeral Home, 315 E. 16th Street, Holland, MI 49423.

Funeral services are at 10:00 am on Thursday, October 4, 2018 at Ridge Point Community Church, 340 104th Ave., Holland, MI 49423 with Rev. Ren Broekhuizen officiating (use Entrance C).

Burial to take place at Restlawn Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be given in Glenn's honor to The Potter's House or Hospice of Holland.

Glenn was a shining light. He had such a marvelous way with kids, always greeting them in such a way they felt special and loved. He served his Lord faithfully. Peace and blessings to the entire family.

Marcia, We were going to come to the visitation, funeral for Glen but by time it was in the paper the funeral was over. So sorry for your lost. Love and prayers, Gary and Judy Alderink

So very, very sorry to just hear of Glen's passing this morning . Since we were not aware, we unfortunately missed the visitation. We both appreciated Glen's sincere and humble manner. He treated all people with love and respect. We cannot imagine how difficult this is for you Marcia. Know that our thoughts and prayers are with you. You are a strong woman. May you and your family feel God's special grace at this difficult time.
